PAULINE BUTTIGIEG Obituary

BUTTIGIEG, PAULINE MARY Pauline Mary Buttigieg, on June 19, 2020, aged 80, passed away peacefully and comforted by the rites of the last Sacrament at Casa Arkati, Malta, after an illness borne with great Christian fortitude. Pauline was a teacher by profession and over her career, shared her love of language, reading and life in general with pupils in Malta, England and Canada. Her life of service continued in retirement and on her return to her native Malta in 1996. She was the Founding Group Leader of the Mothers Prayers of Msida Circle; a former Secretary of the Salesian Co-operators; and holder of the Gold Cross of the Jerosolemitan Order of St. John the Baptist in recognition of her voluntary work done for the Monastery of St. Ursula in Valletta. She leaves to mourn her loss, family and friends in Malta, England, Canada and Australia. If desired, donations in her name may be made to Dar Osanna Pia in Malta or a local charity of choice.

Madeleine & George dei Conti Stagno Navarra

June 23, 2020

Pauline was a treasured friend to Madeleine and George Stagno Navarra. We got to know each other through The Association of Lyceum Past Students ( ALPS ). The Lyceum old boys have made it a habit to meet and to reminisce from the good old days of their youth. This has also involved the wives who have come forward to give a helping hand in all that is organized by the association in any one year. And, Pauline just happened to be one of the ladies who was always ready to offer assistance in all that was needed. Many a time we could admire her work during our functions and at the Pwales chapel that has been in the care of ALPS for the past 20 years. Always with a smile and ready to give her opinion and advice if /and where needed. We shall be missing her company at all our future events...but the Lord had other rewards ready for our dear Pauline who now sits closer to her Creator. May she rest in peace and continue to look upon her family and friends and lend a helping hand too in her usual caring manner.
