Mrs. Emmet will be missed. My son Jeff has many fond memories of her when he was in her Grade 4 class. She was a wonderful and dedicated teacher who had a positive influence on the lives of many children and families.

I was a student of hers in grade 3 and 4 ('92-'93). I found out of Penny's passing through my mom today and it saddens me deeply. She always fostered my creativity from the comments she wrote in my journal entries to telling me "Justin, one day I'm going to read about you in the news". Well I never became famous enough for that, but I always hoped I would so she could see it. She even read Calvin and Hobbes to the class, which was so cool. Teachers like Penny are so important for child development and she had an impact on my passion for music composition and art. She was the best teacher I ever had.

Dear Arthur & family: I knew Penny & yourself when you lived in New Liskeard. We recently moved to Ottawa and I have always wondered if you still lived here. She was so much fun. She and I had the same wedding gown - and when you came to visit us at Maiden's Bay camp outside of North Cobalt, she wore my sun suit to swim in. We always had fun learning to play bridge or working on a new craft. I am so sorry that I never got to meet her again. I am sending you my sincere sympathy.
