Peter BLACKMORE Obituary

BLACKMORE, Peter Albert It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Pete Blackmore, 82, of Toronto. He passed away on September 7, 2021 after a brief hospital stay. He will be missed by his spouse, Ruth Blackmore, his four children, Stephen Blackmore and his spouse Janet, Sharon Blackmore, Linda Bye and her spouse Rick, and Mitchell Blackmore and his spouse Kim. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jessica Leto, Andrew Leto, Matthew Methot, Nathalie Methot, Mayson Hanley and Ryder Hanley and by his lifelong friend, Al Kramer. Pete was a longtime employee and retiree of Ontario Hydro. Pete truly loved the outdoors watching his birds. They will miss him too. A private visitation will be held.

Very sad to just read in the OPG MyLink news of Peter Blackmores passing....Mr. Blackmore hired me back in October 1977 for a computer maintenance technician job which set me on marvelous 28 year long career at "the Hydro"....Mr. Blackmore was a great guy...sincere condolences to Mr. Blackmores family

I was so very sorry to hear about “uncle” Pete’s passing. He is my mom, Barbara‘s, cousin. While I hadn’t seen him in quite a few years, I have fond memories of him, his humour and wit.

Peter was a really good friend to me at Hydro. He hired me in 1978 to work for Ontario Hydro. I always was thankful for him and his friendship. I am so sad to hear of his passing and send my deepest condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P. Peter.
