Peter MCGORAN Obituary

MCGORAN, Peter Lindsay Peter Lindsay McGoran, 63, of Toronto, passed away on April 11, 2021, after a tough battle with cancer. Peter was born on November 10, 1957, to Connie and Dave in Toronto. Growing up with sister Beth, and going on to have three children, Lindsay, Kaitlin (Lander) and Matthew. Peter was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family. His family and countless friends he considered family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Anyone who knew Peter would know that he was the most loving father and friend a person could ask for. The family requests that all stories and notes are sent to 16 East Beach Rd, Tiny Township, L9M 0M6. As Peter was bigger than life there will be a celebration of life at a future date, when we can celebrate the way Peter would have wanted.

I’m so saddened to hear about Peters passing . He and I spent long hours trying to figure out how to get through school . He gave me a place to stay when I came back through Toronto . I’m in total shock on learning this today . To me he will always be the King of swing .

Dear Lindsay, Kaitlin and Matt

So sorry for your loss. He was a dedicated and loving father and family man . A bundle of energy who was always applied much imagination and relationship building in his career.
Peter welcomed me into his circle of friends in 1981 when i arrived from BC and we had so many good times in the 80's and 90's. skiing , concerts, travel and a few drinks.. he celebrated my Stag, catered my wedding and our families living up in Newmarket spent time together.

He became an honorary Barbarian and participated in a number of legendary tours to Chicago, NY and Las Vegas.. particularly remember the family ski trips to Quebec with the Kinsella's and being together in Whistler during the Olympics.

He will be deeply missed by all he knew but our love for him will survive beyond his passing through our memories and mutual friendships.

I knew Peter for over 30 years working in the concert industry and he did feel like a family member to me. I will miss his sense of humour and the grin on his face when he needed "just one more table". My thoughts are with you Kaitlyn, Lindsay and Matt.

I have met no stronger a commitment to family then my friend Peter. Throughout all the curves that life sent his way, he never wavered from his Love of his Family. Words surely may not assuage the loss Matt, Kaitlin and Lindsay have now faced. Heartfelt thoughts and Memories to you all.

At any given time ,regardless of what was going on ,the quickest way to make Pete really smile ,was to ask about his kids .....they were his kryptonite ,his proud weakness
I have been privileged to be a observer of this family for many years ,watching kaitland grow up to be a force to reckoned with in the food service industry ,watching Lindsey daily inspire me to be a better person by her passion to help others and finally watching matt try Many paths and finally settle in real estate ,his excitement for the future contagious
I will miss our talks and battles of opinions very much
Thank you for sharing your family with me sir
