Peter Servos Obituary

SERVOS, Peter —

Peacefully following a six year battle with cancer, Pete passed away on July 28, 2015 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Beloved son of Gertrude Irene and the late Robert Alexander Servos; dear brother of Dan and sister-in-law Sue; predeceased by sister Mary Lou Sullivan; proud uncle of Jordan (Kat), Jeffrey, Mitchell and Alexandra; great-uncle to J.J. and Jaycee. Pete will also be dearly missed by his longtime companion and partner Sue Holland. Also missing Pete, will be Nancy Holland, Dave and Sue Holland and their family, his cousins, friends and cottage neighbours. Pete is admired for his courage, endless hope, selflessness and sense of humour; and always challenging his fellow golfers with his new swing...which was almost every weekend. Many thanks to the staff at the Odette Centre - SHSC for their care. Memorial reception will be held at York Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto (416-221-3404), on Saturday, August 15th from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Oochigeas. Please visit www.etouch.ca for online condolences and donation details.

Just heard about Peter's passing last night. I grew up with Peter and his brother Danny. He was somewhat of a big brother to me and I spent many good times at their house on Millgate Cres. as well as their cottage in Port Severn. I will always have great memories of this great guy who was always kind and generous of his time with me. My sincere condolences go out to 'aunt' Irene and Danny.

So sorry to hear of Pete's passing. My condolences to Dan and the rest of the family.
We grew up together on Millgate Crescent in North York and played road hockey and touch football with the gang (mostly the Wests). I hadn't seen Pete in about 35 years. It sounds like he had a great life with great family and friends. He was always one of a kind!

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing, had many laughs and good times with him, can't believe it's been 40 years ago, feels like yesterday. Thought I would share these photos I found from the late 70's
