I had the pleasure of working with Ray at the Independent Learning Centre. He was creative, innovative and often pushed the envelope with his approaches to distance education and marketing what ILC had to offer.

He made things happen and inspired me to do the same. I am glad our paths crossed; he will be missed.

My condolences.

Ray was a remarkable and wonderful man. Working with Ray on business projects and concepts was an energizing, creative and exceptionally professional experience. He had real vision in education and innovative approaches to learning. I'll miss not having the opportunity to work with him again--he was a friend as much as a colleague. I will remember him well.

My thoughts go out to his family.

Ray Beyer was a man who cared about others. He cared about the students he worked with but most of all he cared about his friends. Ray was a dreamer who inspired others to help make those dreams come true.

When Wilma and I spent time with Ruth and Ray it was a joy. The love we saw was unspoken but so apparent.

I was able to visit with Ruth and Ray for the last time in April. Ray knew how ill he was but he was more concerned about me. That was so typical of Ray.

As I departed we embraced and I told him I loved him. I am so glad I was able to express those feelings. Ray will always be a part of my life.
