RAY EMERSON KROCK Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Belleville General Hospital in his 91st year. Son of the late Albert and Hattie Krock of Pembroke, ON. Beloved husband of Gertrude (Trudy) (2009). Loving father of William Krock of Toronto, ON, Rosemary Pender (Kelly) of Kingston, ON, Michael Krock (Anne) of Belleville, ON and Murray Krock of Toronto, ON. Predeceased by daughters Elizabeth Krock and Patricia Krock, granddaughter Emily Pender and brothers Burton and Donald. "Poppa" will be missed by his grandchildren Carly Drake (Ian), Abbey Pender, Emerson Krock and Elizabeth Krock. Retired Executive Director and CEO of Belleville General Hospital, Ray began his hospital career as Assistant Administrator of Humber Memorial Hospital in Toronto. He then became the Administrator of the Ansonville General Hospital in Iroquois Falls, Smooth Rock Falls Hospital and Pine Falls Hospital (Manitoba). He moved on to be a Senior Consultant with the Ontario Hospital Services Commission, followed by the position of Director of Hospital Operating Standards for the Ontario Ministry of Health. He then moved to Belleville where he was the Executive Director and CEO of BGH until his retirement in 1988. Friends are invited to visit at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME, 150 Church St., Belleville, on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment at a later date at St. Anne's Cemetery, Mattawa, ON. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may wish to provide donations to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation, Canadian Mental Health Association or Alzheimer Society.
