DOTSCH, Richard Arthur - Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Richard of Bracebridge, in his 72nd year. Loving father of Greg (Anne Marie) and Stephanie (John Basler). Proud grandfather of Sabrina, Nicholas, Jason, Joshua and Sarah. Dear brother of Rose Imeson, Lee Gravlev (Terry Fitchett) and Julie Dotsch. Son of the late Nicholas and Daisy Dotsch. Richard was loved and will be remembered by his former wife Carole Bagnato, nieces and nephews and many friends in the Bracebridge and Toronto areas. An avid paddler and hiker, Richard loved to travel, learn, discuss politics, organize and help lead canoe trips. Richard designed and built his own home in the woods and was very proud of it. He will be remembered for his courage, indomitable spirit and perseverance. In keeping with Richard's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held. A public celebration of Richard's life will be held in Bracebridge at a later date. Information will be made available on the Community Alternative Funeral Home website.
