RICHARD NEIL MacKENDRICK

MacKENDRICK, RICHARD NEIL Rick was a generous man. He was dedicated to his wife, Connie, and his family, found it easy to trust others, and enjoyed a good book, keeping up to date with the news, a winning hand of cards, playing a round of golf, viewing a wide variety of sports, fishing from the cottage dock, and watching his grandchildren play hockey from the side of the rink, no matter how cold it might be. Both cats and dogs loved him. Rick and Connie shared a lifelong partnership, raising Cathy, Scott and Tracie. He was proud of each of them, and of their children, and he fully appreciated time spent with his grandchildren and his great-grandsons. He was also a successful businessman in the mechanical insulation industry. On March 3, 2023, early in his 86th year, Rick passed peacefully. He will be profoundly missed by his wife, family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering (905-428-8488), on March 11th, with Visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m., and with the Service following at 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to honour him might consider a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or the SickKids Foundation.
