RICHARD BELL "DICK" RILEY

RICHARD "DICK" BELL RILEY, P.ENG 1928 - 2015 Richard died peacefully in the company of his family on August 15, 2015 at the Guelph General Hospital. He leaves his wife Joan after 61 years of marriage. Dick was the cherished father to Nancy (Don) Dyson, Peter (Mary-Ellen nee French) and Paul (Susan nee Gunson). He was a loving grandfather to Ryan, Devin, Meghan, Rachel, MacKenzie and Sydney. Dick graduated as a Civil Engineer (1955) from the University of Toronto. His career spanned 39 years in engineering and computer science. Dick, along with three others, started the Universities' Application Centre in Guelph. He would eventually retire from there in 1993. Dick loved his workshop and his cameras. He was an avid photographer who left a legacy of photographs to remember his life. With many cherished trips to New England and specifically Cape Cod. A private family service celebrating Dick's life will be held in Cape Cod. "Work as though you had a thousand years to live and as you would if you knew you must die tomorrow."
