RITA ERMELINDA MANNA, MSW January 29, 1957 - November 8, 2010 'Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. She will do good... I used love our conversations during long drives to Gores Landing and more recently to Willow Beach to visit a couple of foster homes and kids. I remember that you loved being in the country and appreciated the beauty and peacefulness. Rita, you were a beautiful and caring person with great sensitivity, and your work with foster parents and children was done with much compassion and respect for others. Rita, you were a gem and will be sadly missed. To Jacob and Rita's family and friends, please accept my deepest sympathy for your significant loss. May you find comfort in knowing that Rita touched so many lives.

In loving memory

You have been blessed with eternal life and love. You have touched the lives of so many adults, children and youth with your strength and compassion . You have done God's work and I can't help but believe that God loves your 'style' and needs you beside him to continue his work. I feel so privileged to say that I worked beside you too.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Rita and I met in Negril, Jamaica in December of 1978. We remained friends for several years, but unfortunately lost touch. I have several photographs of Rita (most in storage) I would be happy to share them with friends and family. (my e-mail will be attached to this message) I had to smile when I read in the Toronto Star that Rita was fond of the song "One Love". When we were in Jamaica, the resort had a so called disco, we were the only people that ever went into the disco and the D.J. only had one album - yes - it was Bob Marley and "One Love" was the only song on the LP that didn't skip! We made our own fun, and danced, listened and sang to that song for the entire week!
I was shocked and saddened by the news, it proves that we should never lose contact with our friends and I regret losing contact with Rita.

I know that there is a beautiful new angel in heaven, rest in peace Rita!
