Bob was a terrific man. He was always smiling, always welcoming.
My favourite memory of Bob was when Pat & I had been over for a visit and were talking with Eileen about an upcoming trip to Switzerland to see the World's Curling Championships. Eileen hadn't planned on going, but was asking us all about it. A few days later, Eileen returned home from curling to find that Bob had (I think) hung some airline tickets and some Swiss francs from the light in the hallway. She wasn't part of the tour that we had booked, but Bob said not to worry, the girls would look after her. We had a fantastic trip with Eileen because Bob surprised her with such a wonderful gesture.
We are so sorry to hear of his passing.

We loved Bob dearly - he was larger than life. Happy memories include his search for the perfect Date Nut Loaf, his appreciation for goos food and drink despite Drs advice, tickling the ivories playing Gershwin songs for me by request and especially "Summertime". Sitting at the piano with all 3 of our children. Bob was generous with his caring ways and I will never forget him. Godspeed Bob as you descend to the Great Beyond.
