Robert COPLAND Obituary
COPLAND, Robert Fraser - Peacefully passed away in his sleep on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Scarborough General Hospital, in his 91st year. Bob beloved husband of the late Theresa for 53 years. Veteran of WWII both the Atlantic and Pacific Campaigns earning numerous medals including the Bronze Star. Proud member of Local Union 46. Loving father to Carol (Bill Welch), Heather (Vince Dignan), Laura (Rick Lipsett) and Don Copland. Grandpa will be fondly remembered by Lorraine (Rob Adam), Peter Gravelle (nee Welch) (Erinn), John Welch (Lisa), Tammy (Mike), Holly, Pte. Benjamin, Madeline Dignan (Adam), Katelynn and Kevin Lipsett and Samantha Copland. Adored Great-Grandpa to Hailey and Hayden Adam, Jordyn, Violet, August and Huxley Gravelle. Predeceased by his brother Thomas Copland. Resting at the PAUL O'CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Warden and Pharmacy), from 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Annunciation Church (Victoria Park, south of Ellesmere). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In memory of Bob, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
