What a very sad day for his family, friends and all who knew Bob.
As a colleague and partner, I could not have asked for better. But when Bob and I became close and trusted friends, I came to know how really special Bob was. We had many countless lunches where we solved the problems of the world - or so we thought.
Bob was one of the most kind, trusted, loyal, generous, and honest persons I have ever known whose primary focus was always on his family and friends.
One year, Bob and I taught our two young boys how to skate and then together Bob and I coached their hockey team to victory. What a memory that is albeit in a very long list of great memories of Bob!
My heart goes out to Shawna, Bobby, Peter and the rest of Bob's family. Hang onto those memories and Bob's love to get you through this. We will all be doing the same.

So sad to learn of Bob's passing. I worked with him for years at McMillan LLP when I was just starting out as a lawyer. He was a wonderful mentor. Old school, guys guy, all the way. He looked out for his juniors and was one of the most affable men I have ever known. He will be missed by many. My sympathies to all his family and friends on a tremendous loss.
