Robert GOSSLING Obituary

GOSSLING, Robert (Rob) Passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 19, 2017. Predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy Jean Gossling (Graham), with whom he loved to travel, as well as his parents and older brother Douglas. Survived by his sisters Blanche Boyden and Rosemary Burgess, his brother Richard Gossling (Virginia Gossling) and his sister-in-law Ruth Graham Armstrong. Also will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and South Africa. A special thanks to his niece Julia Taylor for her exceptional care and friendship since he moved to Barrie. Rob was an active participant with both the Leaside Baseball and Hockey Associations. Private services have been arranged as per Rob's wishes. Donations in memoriam may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as well as Diabetes Canada.

This was sad news for me. My wifebJanet and I spent many happy times with Dorothy and Rob over many years and to know that they are both gone is very sad. They made a great and loving married team. Rob fought the good fight over the past few years and he will be deeply missed by friends and family.

Ruth & Families:
So sorry for your loss. I was saddened to hear of Rob's sudden passing. You have been a great support to Rob and Dorothy over the years and I'm sure his life was enriched by your constant caring, visits, and love and support. Rob was always pleasant and I especially enjoyed their visits to Thunder Bay. He will be missed. My condolences to you and your entire family.

Dear Ruth and Family
We were saddened to hear of Rob's sudden passing. To lose two close family members in such a short time is difficult. We know how much Rob appreciated all of your help when he and Dorothy were ill and especially all of the assistance you provided after Dorothy's passing and with his moves from the rehab centre to his new homes. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing Fernando on your visits to Barrie as it brightened his days. Our heartfelt sympathies to you all.
