ROBERT KIMURA Obituary

KIMURA, ROBERT KEISUKE February 27, 1932 - January 27, 2019 "Scratch" golfer, food critic and wine connoisseur, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband to Ellen Shizuko. Loving father to Pamela (Patrick Montagne), Wendy and Michael (JoAnne). Cherished grandfather to Calvin, Thomas, Morgan, Nicole, Jesse, Marc and Michael. Predeceased by brothers Reginald and Wayne. Fondly remembered by surviving siblings Doreen, Richard and Naomi. Bob's laugh, wisdom and lifelong quest for knowledge and perfection will be remembered by all. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Glendale Funeral Home (1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke, 416-679-1803), on Monday, February 4th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with the Memorial Service to follow in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation (Palliative Care Centre).

Dear Ellen & family,
We were so sorry to hear about "Scratcho"'s passing. He will be dearly missed by all of his golfing buddies but especially by me. He was always working at improving his game, even up to last year. I'll always remember his determination & admire that.
