Robert Matt Obituary

MATT, Robert Edward - (Retired after 38 years from Gas Control at TransCanada Pipelines ) Surrounded by loved ones on Monday, October 12, 2009 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital in his 65th year. Sons Greg (Erin) and Mike; stepchildren Tara, Seamus, Michael and Annie and his mother Yvonne Herdman were proud and privileged to have shared time with Bob. He grew up in Pefferlaw and later moved to Toronto where he married the late Margaret White. He spent many years in Calgary. In 2002 he retired to Beaverton with his wife Eileen, to play golf and enjoy a quiet life. Family will receive friends at the Mangan Funeral Home, 332 Osborne St., Beaverton (705-426-5777) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Celebration of Bob's life will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 573 Simcoe St., Beaverton on Friday at 11 a.m. with reception to follow at the local Legion. Donations to be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be made at www.manganfuneralhome.com
