I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Mr. Robert Reid. There are so many ways to describe Rob but one that truly stands out in my mind is unforgettable. Once you have been in contact with Rob he infects your spirit was his tremendous humour. He was truly a joy to be around and even after so many years of not being his personal assistant I still remember him like yesterday. Rob was a kind individual and I feel a great deal of respect for him. I am truly glad that we had the opportunity to speak last year and he will be truly missed. To you Lindsay though you are now grown you can draw strength from the fact that you father loved you dearly. To Mr. & Mrs Reid I prayer that God grants you a peace that surpasses all understanding. To Maha I know I have never met you but know that you are in my prayers at this difficult time. I know you have lost a wonderful man but please find comfort in the many memories you would have shared.

To Maha and Lindsay,Rob can never be replaced. At least twice a day I had to be in his office. As an employee I cannot begin to describe how it will feel not having to see him again so I know how much harder it will be for you. My husband and I lost a parent each, in one day, 16 years ago. We can tell you, with the great support system of family and friends, it will become easier day by day, year by year. Cherish the memories, he was a wonderful man and worth remembering. The prayers of my family and workmates go out to you both.

My family and I met Rob on a flight to Barbados from Toronto 8 years ago. That was our first time to Barbados. We started talking and we ended up going for dinner the next day. We became business associates and friends - never missing out on meeting somewhere relaxing on the island on each tirip. We would discuss Toronto Maple leafs, the politics, business and a lot fo other topics. I met him last time in mid December of 2011. He had lost a lot of weight but he did not know what was wrong. We are shocked to hear the very very sad news. My wife Rani and our kids can not stop reminiscing and discussing what a great friend Rob was. He will be missed by our family. Our sympathies to Rob's family and extended family like he was to us.

My name is Valerie Herbert and I am the Receptionist at DGM Bank & Trust Inc. in Barbados. Mr. Reid or Rob as we affectionately called him touched our lives here at DGM in many ways and we deeply regret his passing. It is a tremendous loss which cannot be fully expressed in words. Rob was a great individual and he worked with us upto early January and he was always a strong and charismatic person with a unique sense of humour. To Maha and Lindsay , Mr. & Mrs Reid and all the family may God comfort all of you in your time of sorrow. We feel your pain and our hearts are with you. Sincerely, Valerie
