Dear George, Heather & family: We are deeply saddened to hear of Dick's passing and we extend our sincere condolences to you and to Robin's family. This past summer was the first in many years that we missed seeing your Dad at Aura Lee and keeping an eye out for the Queen Mary [ nee "Robin-Ann " ] cruising regally down the lake towards High Rock. Dick's exceptionally deep appreciation for current affairs; his dry wit ; and his genuine interest in keeping up with the accomplishments of others made for many hours of memorable conversations. A truly great man who had a great run...We will miss him.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Members of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr. Richmond. We felt truly honored to have had him with us at our Summit in November in Ottawa where Canadian Astronaut Marc Garneau, along with many others, asked to meet him. He was truly an amazing pioneer in the Canadian Aerospace Industry and he will be missed. His sense of humor and kind words were always with him.

I didn't know Dick for too long but I did spend a bit of time with him in the summer of 2012. He would store his boat at my uncles local gas station during the winter months but as he got older, driving from Toronto to Sundridge was getting a bit more dangerous. My uncle offered my services to drive him back and forth from his cottage on my days off from working at the gas station. Talking with Dick on those drives was really cool, learning things about Canadian Aviation history that I never knew before. Honestly, probably one of the best summer jobs I ever had. Sending condolences to your family Dick.
Cheers, Ben

My heartfelt condolences to Dick's family. I was honoured to have met Dick almost 20 years ago through the Ontario Aerospace Council. It was my pleasure to escort him at different aerospace events throughout the years. I spoke with him just a short time ago to arrange for a visit to MDA to see the Canadarm. He had a passion for aerospace that never ended. Dick will be missed.

My condolences to the family on the loss of a great man. I was privileged enough to work on the Queen Mary, in fact that's how we met. Through our shared love of Peterborough cedar strips we made a connection and I became the property manager of Aura Lee his cottage on Lake Bernard. I worked hard to complete my vision of him sitting on the porch again with the Queen Mary in the water next season and he knew it. May he rest in peace.

Diana and family,
Thinking of you all as you mourn this loss. I have fond memories of visiting your Babs in Toronto and also have a distant memory of attempting to canoe across lake Bernard to visit the family cottage. Old friends are the best friends. With love, Sara (Tebbutt) Thompson and family xo

Dear George, Heather, Euan and Anthea,
With the passing of Mr. Richmond I feel as if I have lost a cherished family member. For twenty six years I was privileged in my work life to have been employed by the Richmond family. I reflect on the incredible contributions Mr. Richmond made within the aeronautical profession as well as the wisdom and kindness shown to so many causes and people around him. He was a wonderful gentleman. I send my condolences to all the family, most of whom I have met and whose company I have enjoyed. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity.
Most sincerely,
Lynda
