ROBERT ROYLE Obituary

ROYLE, Robert John "Bob" - After a courageous fight with cancer, Bob Royle passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Predeceased by his parents John Caleb Royle and Dorothy Edna Royle (nee Pritchard). Dearly loved partner to Beverley Burge. Beloved father of Andrea Ireland (Steven) and Natalie Royle (Joel Grant). Proud grandfather of Justin, Taylor, Ava and Bronson. Bob will be sadly missed by his sister Mary Lynne (Douglas) MACLeod. Predeceased by his sister Judith Willcocks. Survived by his brother-in-law Roy Willcocks. Bob was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 1, 1941. He moved with his family to Toronto in 1947. Attended high school at York Mills Collegiate. Bob attended the University of Toronto and York University attaining the following degrees: P. Eng Mechanical Engineering-University of Toronto, Masters of Engineering - University of Toronto and a Masters of Business Administration - York University. After graduation, Bob worked for McKinsey Consulting, Reed Paper and Reliance Electric in Toronto. He successfully owned and operated Metallurgical Services in Brampton for many years. Upon retirement, Bob had time to pursue his many passions including tennis, bridge, winters in Mexico and learning to speak Spanish. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8. Private cremation and interment. A Celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, 610 University Avenue, Toronto M5G 2M9. I so enjoyed playing bridge against Bob.He was a true gentleman and will be missed.My sympathy to his family,Dianne Morrison

I was very sorry to read of Bob's passing. I have very fond memories of dealing with him through Met Services and my Father's company Thermalloy-LeMoyne. My deepest condolences to his family.
