I have such fond memories of Mr. van der Hoop. I first met him when I came to work as a clerk at Metro's Western District Edgehill Office. He was so pleasant to work for, always taking time to guide me through my work. His admiration for the gardens around him and the pleasure he took walking through them was very apparent. He was a wealth of knowledge to all those surrounding him. I thank him for all of his lessons and what I learned from them. I truly enjoyed going to work every day at that location. Mr. van der Hoop will sadly be missed.

We shall miss Bob's loving smile and warm presence at the Vanderhoop's dinner table. He was a lovely man and we always enjoyed our visits with him. His presence will live on in Sona and Jan's beautiful gardens - thanks in no small part to Bob.
Love,
Heather and Jim Erskine
