ROBERT WHITTON Obituary

WHITTON, ROBERT WILLIAM Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Parkwood Mennonite LTC, Waterloo, at the age of 95. Survived by his five children affectionately known as "The Five Marvelous Pretzels", Lezley Prokop, Paul Leatherbarrow, Elizabeth Whitton, Robin Leatherbarrow and Shelagh Currah, his grandchildren Vincent, Victor and Joe Nosko, Olivia Whitton and John and Kate Leatherbarrow and his great-grandchildren Vivian Whitton, Maxim Curry, Milo, Julius and Remi Caporicci and a brother Don Whitton. Remembered for his love of life, his love for the peacefulness and beauty of Northern Ontario and especially his love for his family. Bob enjoyed a long career at the University of Waterloo and was a founding member of the Unitarian Congregation. He will be missed. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Parkwood Mennonite LTC for their kindness and care provided to Bob in his final years.
