RODNEY SILZER Obituary

"ROD"NEY SILVIN SILZER September 19, 1957 to May 2, 2016 Succumbed to cancer in his 58th year, Stouffville. Long term resident of 279 Cornelius Pkwy. with Vykki J. Silzer (Humber Heights Long Term Care) and Silvin Michael Silzer (deceased 2005). Survived by sister Gael Hepworth (Gary) of Premier Homecare Services, nephew Gavin (Laycee) of Etobicoke and cousins Bruce Silzer (Rhoda) and Sheila Silzer. Rod attended Downsview Secondary, Exbury Middle, Downsview Elementary and Bala Avenue School before 1161 Jane St. was expropriated in '65. He graduated from Ryerson with a degree in Electrical Technology and worked at Minolta, Xerox-Mita, Kodak and MWY Services. Donations may be made to Carcinoid - NeuroEndocrine Tumour Society of Canada.

Rod, you and Gael became part of the "Eastern" cousins that I met when I married Bruce. We only met a few times but you were always, kind and welcoming to me. Your loss was too soon. Gael you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Rhoda & Bruce.

Rod met Janet 2010, diagnosed with Cancer 2011, moved to Stouffville 2012 where they married Oct 2 2015. Silzer's, Manson's and Hepworth's would like to thank Mortley's for their care and support of our son, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew as he died in Janet's loving care on May 2, 2016.

Most Beloved son of Vykki Silzer, with whom he lived for 55 years.Family & Friends will remember Rod running his business and many hobbies from his parent's home. The coin, baseball cards, comic book collections and camping equipment. Working in Syl's Garage with friend Mike Yeaton. Driving his Silver Honda Civic - Well maintained at all times!
