I was a former Easter Seals Timmy. I remember spending time with Roger both on and off camera at many of the superthons. He was always gracious, fun to be around and great to talk to. I enjoyed all of our time together. He and Don invited me and my family to a taping of Air Farce one year and they both spent time with us after the show. I have loved Air Farce for many years and will continue to watch the reruns. I will treasure my memories of Roger forever. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Betty,
I watched the special Air farce show last night and I laughed and had tears in my eyes at the same time. It brought back memories of listening to the Air farce for so many years first on the radio and then watching them on TV. Roger was really funny in so many roles. He was a genteman in real life; funny and kind at the same time.
My heart goes out to you, Jackie and Vince. You are all in my prayers.

Roger Abbott was one of the friendliest and funniest celebrities I ever met. I first met him at an Air Farce taping in 1999. I went to several other tapings between 1999 and 2010, and he always remembered me and said hi. He treated everybody first class. I believe Roger has left behind a legacy of laughs and memories. My condolences go out to his family, friends and fellow fans.

Dear Jackie and Vince,
I was sorry to hear of the loss of Roger. I well remember the story of him impersonating President Kennedy and getting through to the White House when he was a young lad in Montreal. He got into a lot trouble for that. Roger was a very gifted man. He will be remembered for bringing many years of joy and laughter into the lives of so many. I hope the tributes being paid to him are a source of comfort to you and Vince and your family. He is at peace.

I am so saddened to hear of the death of Roger Abbott. Although I never even met him, he, along with the Air Farce gang, brought countless hours of joy to me and my son. While living in the prairies we had to drive over 70 kms to the nearest store and both my son and I would be roaring with laughter listening to the radio shows. When the Air Farce went on t.v. my son and I would watch faithfully evey Friday and being able to 'see' Roger protraying the characters was even more humourous. I worked for many years for the federal government, and I especially loved Roger's take on Mr. Chretien. My son has grown up and moved away, but he and I made a point of watching the t.v. shows and discussing them via telephone and then e-mail; until the series ended. It was wonderful to see the New Year's Eve specials. I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. In these times humour and seeing the lighter side of things is all the more important. I offer my condolences to Roger's family and friends and thanks for all the humour and joy you brought to us.

What a great guy he was. We met in 1980 when I was asked to design their Air farce book. That was the beginning of our many get togethers to celebrate any occasion—he was the perfect host and guest. We even took Italian classes with Italian food after each class. What a hoot! My heart smiles when I think of Roger.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Abbott in Toronto in the 1980s. My friend and I went to brunch with him on a Sunday morning - a very classy and kind gentleman. My condolences to his family and the Air Farce family on this very sad occasion.

Too soon to leave us Rogers. You were so funny on Air Farce with your imitations of the Queen Mum and Jean Chretien and the "coffee shop" talks and putting way too much sugar in your cup. I miss John Morgan too with his "I'm Mike from Canmore". Don and Luba were also good. A real Canadian classic show with none like it. My condolences to Roger's family and to his Air Farce family who I know will miss him too.

Prayerful Sympathy to the family of a great Canadian comedian. His humour went beyond words. Thank you, Roger, for the Friday night laughter when one could relax and "laugh at ourselves" through your lens. May you rest in eternal peace and joy.
A fan from D.C. in B.C.
P.S. My sympathy to Luba and Don, your partners in humour.

To the entire Abbott and Air Farce families and particularily those I have had the joy of spending wonderful moments with, please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. To Betty and Jackie, Joahnne, Derek, Jacob and Zoe ... our summers and the lake will never be the same. I will sadly miss Roger, his love of the cottage, his heartfelt kindness, sense of humour and genuine warmth but I will always hold those memories dear.
God Bless!

I cannot believe the news of this great comedian's passing. Air Farce made life so much fun, but now after both John Morgan and Roger's passing far too soon, I can only send condolences to all those who worked with them and made the rest of the country laugh in stitches.

Forget Saturday Night Live, the best comedy show anywhere was the Royal Canadian Air Farce. Roger was my favourite comedian with Don Ferguson a close scecond. This is a real loss for Canada and I will miss him greatly.

My deepest sympathies to the ones Roger left behind. He along with the rest of the troupe gave me many laughs. I always enjoyed the episode when he was in the "coffee shop" dicussing the issues of the day and pouring copious amounts of sugar in to it. God needed another comedian in heaven, so he sent for Roger to help John Morgan keep'em laughing He'll be missed.
