STANKIEWICZ, Roman Mark 1957-2022 It is with heavy hearts, that we share news of the passing of loving father, faithful brother, uncle, friend, colleague, and household comedian Roman Mark Stankiewicz, on April 4, 2022 at Princess Margaret Hospital, at 65 years young. Devoted son of Peter and Matilda (both predeceased). Left to mourn are his son, AJ, sisters Patricia, Mary and Theresa and brothers Peter (Brenda) and Edmund (Teri) and AJ's mother Diana. Roman's passing has left a hole in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews, Stan (Sandy), Anthony (Sheeila), Rick, Emily (Hugh), Irene (Mark), Peter (Eve), Stephen, Katrina (Ace), Elizabeth, Alexandra (Andrew), Roxanne (Alex), Chantale, and Joel. He was beloved great-uncle to Eleisha, Sydney and Morgan. He will be greatly missed by his 'fishing buddies'. Roman's 38-year long career in auto sales, garnered many long-lasting relationships. Roman will be deeply missed by colleagues and loyal customers at Applewood Auto, Hawley Pontiac, and other dealerships. Easy going and a true gentleman, Roman was well liked by everyone he met. Selfless and caring he always had others best interests at heart. Roman was a man with an endless number of friends whose contagious laughter and many jokes brought joy to all. He will be forever missed by all who enjoyed the pleasure of his company. Family meant everything to Roman. He was at his best when sports were involved. He enjoyed fishing trips and playing golf. An avid Blue Jays and F1 racing fan, Roman could be counted on for the latest sporting news. Always the optimist, Roman was certain of a cure to his final moment. Roman was far too young to have gone so soon. Friends may visit at the Glen Oak Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10th. Vigil prayers at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, April 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 2473 Thorn Lodge Dr., Mississauga. Reception to follow. A Celebration of Life will be held in Sudbury, at a later date. Donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital, Leukemia Program or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
