RON SLADE Obituary

RON SLADE Passed away peacefully on May 21, 2016 at Princess Margaret Hospital in his 88th year. He will be profoundly missed by his wife Sandy Dezenhouse-Slade, loving children David (Carol) Slade and Wendy Slade and grandson Paul, step-children Rhonda, Pam, Glen and Shayne, grandchildren Alley, Billy, Andrew, Jessy (The Hugger), Josh and Geoffrey (best golf buddies), great-granddaughter Sloan and Ron's brother Jack. An athlete, a musician and an artist, Ron competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki in Men's Canoe Racing. He was also an accomplished golfer and member of Summit Golf and Country Club. He shared his passion for golf and a good game of Gin with his buddies on Friday nights for over 30 years. Ron enjoyed a long successful career in the advertising industry as Senior Partner and Creative Director. He shared his love for Jazz with his beloved wife Sandy and adorned their home with his beautiful artwork. Ron's warm heart and wonderful sense of humour will be sadly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. In his own words "He had a good run". "The song is over.
