Ronald Burns Obituary

BURNS, Ronald - Passed away at St. Michael's Hospital on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 as a result of a stroke in his home, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Vera Burns. Dear father of Wayne (Gloria) and Keith (deceased). Loving Papa to Sean, Christa (David) and great-grandfather to Chapelle. Grandfather also to Kerri, Ryan and Corey and great-grandfather to Quinn, Tristan, Aislinn and Maddie. Papa also will be greatly missed by Gloria's sister Marian and husband Ken. His loving nature to his family and friends will never be forgotten. A special thank you to the nursing staff and doctors who looked after Ron in St. Michael's I.C.U. Trauma Department. Friends and family will be received at the DIXON- GARLAND FUNERAL HOME located at 166 Main Street North (Markham Road), Markham on January 22, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
