Ronald COOK Obituary
COOK, Ronald James "Jim" - Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, October 12, 2013, Jim Cook at 84 years of age. Beloved father of Joanne (Larry Johns), Michael (Wanda Seward), Joel and surrogate son Alan Davidson. Cherished grandfather of Danielle, Ashley, Michael, and great- grandfather of Alyssa. Predeceased by his sisters Val and Jackie. Former spouse of Annette. Jim worked in sales with J. Heinz for 13 years, then briefly for R. J. Reynolds before partnering to form his own food brokerage Ken Kouri & Associates. He loved sports, reading and music. Jim will be missed by numerous good friends with special mention to lifelong friends Christine Edwards and Gord MCCarthy. A Celebration of Life will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Thursday, October 17th at 11 a.m. Visitation to be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Those wishing to may make a memorial donation, may do so by cheque to The Salvation Army or the SickKids Foundation.
