RONALD LEWIS Obituary

DR. RONALD JAMES LEWIS, D.D.S. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ron after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Credit Valley Hospital in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Marion, for nearly 55 years. Loving and generous father of Derrick and his wife Shannon, Lisa Browne and her husband Jimmy and Craig and his wife Abby. Devoted Grandpa of Claire, Adrian, Miles and Nathaniel. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Ron practiced "gentle" dentistry for 35 years at his office in Etobicoke and will be sadly missed by his colleagues and former patients. He was a lover of nature, his native Nova Scotia and travelling as well as a jazz music aficionado and a model train enthusiast. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Neweduk - Erin Mills" Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy.), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. A Service to Celebrate his Life will be held at Harvest Bible Chapel, 1215 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Dear Mrs Lewis and Family,

I was speaking to a school friend this afternoon and she told me of the death of our friend Doctor Lewis. We remember him as "Ronnie", our classmate in Grade XI at the Annapolis Royal Regional Academy, NS. That goes back to 1949. He was always a special part of any school activity, and he had such long slender fingers that he could span ten notes on a piano keyboard!

My friend went into the nursing profession, I became a religious Sister, and Ronnie went on to become a dentist.

Do be assured of my sympathy and my prayer,

Sincerely,

Sister Moira McClafferty, R.P.B.
