NEILLY, RONALD July 27, 1929 – May 7, 2023 The world has lost an incredible man and our hearts are broken. It is with deep sadness, yet wonderful memories, that his family shares his passing. Dad peacefully slipped away, with Marion, his wife of 73 years, and family at his side. He was just shy of his 94th birthday. He was an honest, hard working and generous man, who shared his free time coaching minor hockey in the 1950s and '60s, then working as a director with the Scarborough Hockey Association in the '60s and '70s. In his 80s, he taught stained glass art to seniors! He was a man who taught many that you can fix absolutely anything with a good set of tools and some patience (except plumbing). He was well known as the available handyman on Vernadale Cres., the family home for 66 years. A thoughtful man, he encouraged us to always give things a bit of thought before saying them out loud; and that if you throw something out that you've been holding on to, you'll need it a day later. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Marion; his children, Peter (Sandy), Su and Cyndy (Norm); his grandchildren, Bree, Ashleigh (Kevin) and Aaron (Zoe); and his great-grandchildren, Madden and Sarah. He was so happy when he heard that a third great-grandchild is on the way. He was also a favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dad was the last of his siblings, Wray (Craig), Bert (Marg) and Kenny (Shirley), to pass away; he has missed them terribly. A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. If you would like to share some memories about dad or be notified of the details of the celebration, please reach out to the family at:
