ROY SENNETT Obituary
ROY SIDNEY SENNETT Passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 1, 2013 in his 90th year. Roy was the loving husband of "Babs" and he felt blessed to have been able to share his last few years with her together at Belmont House in Toronto. He was always a dedicated father to their beloved son Ted and a very proud grandfather of Thomas. A dear brother-in-law to Betty and the late Harvey Tomlinson and an ever encouraging Uncle Roy to his niece and nephews, to Jimmy and Vi Chung's two boys, as well as to all of "Baba's" countless young friends and neighbours through the years, who always felt welcome at their home on Chudleigh Avenue and at their family cottage on Cawaja Beach. Roy was as passionate about his many hobbies as he was optimistic and resilient while choosing to pursue a career in Research and Development in micro-electronics - in Canada. His determination and resourcefulness eventually led to his involvement in the Canadian space program in the 1970s. Visitation to be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 lights west of Yonge St.), on Friday, November 8th from 3 - 8 p.m. and from 11 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday, November 9th. Service in the chapel Saturday, November 9th at 12 noon to be followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest that memorial donations may be made to Belmont House to encourage the kind staff who continue to care for the residents there.
