RUBY KATHLEEN SANDERSON

SANDERSON, RUBY KATHLEEN (nee JOHNSTON) 92 years young, passed away late on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington after declining health due to CHF and kidney failure. She was blessed to receive many family and friends during her hospital stay and went peacefully with family at her side. She will be remembered most for her hospitality, baking, cupboards always stocked, dry wit and many loads of laundry. Ruby is predeceased by her partner in marriage and in life for 64 years, Sidney T. Sanderson. She will be greatly missed by her family and a multitude of friends who often became family. Ruby leaves behind her children, Karen Sanderson, Bruce (Kim) Sanderson and Shelley Lockmuller and granddaughter Sydney. Predeceased are Ruby's parents, James and Kathleen and her siblings, Jim, Myrtle, John and Marlene. Visitations will be at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel on Wednesday, May 2nd from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, May 3rd from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life and reception at 11 a.m. A special thanks to Dr. Fornasier and his team who made Ruby's final days more comfortable. Many, many thanks to the 7 South and 4 North staff at Joseph Brant, the staff and PSWs at Hearthstone Residences, the PSWs at Acclaim and the CCAC.
