RUBY TOPP Obituary
RUBY McINTYRE TOPP November 26, 1912 - September 22, 2014 Born in St. Mary's, ON, to Norman and Mary (Rae) McIntyre she grew up on the farm until graduating from high school when she moved to London, ON. She worked for London Life and played on the company's women's basketball team. Subsequent moves took her to Windsor, Hamilton and eventually to Toronto (Islington) in 1955. A longtime member of Islington Golf Club she enjoyed the game and the many nights of playing bridge, being an avid player well into her nineties. She was predeceased by her husband George (1965), but is survived by her sons Robert (Maureen) of Burlington and Donald (Jennifer) of Toronto. Loving grandmother of six and great-grandmother of nine. She survived all of her siblings Margaret Crocker, Norma Wilson, Kathleen McElhone and brothers Mel, Walter and Donald. Ruby died peacefully in Toronto in residence at Christie Gardens. The family expresses their appreciation to all of the staff at the facility for the kindness and care given to Ruby. At Ruby's request there will be no visitation or formal observance of her passing. Cremation has taken place.
