JOSHUA, Ruth Cecelia (nee BRAAM) Passed away peacefully at home in Newmarket, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 85 years of age. Loving wife of Sam Joshua for 40 years until his passing. Beloved mother of Peter and Myrna (Elihu). Proud grandmother of Heather (Douglas), Melanie (Lee), Joshua (Kate), Alexa and Marc. "Great"-grandmother to Madeleine, Nathalie, Eli, Alexander and Sebastian. Predeceased by brothers: Vincent, Gerald and Ronald Braam. Daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Braam. Ruth was born in Kimberly, South Africa on August 17, 1932. She will be remembered as a natural teacher; devoted and active leader in the United Church Women of Canada; and loving friend to all. Visitation with the family will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main St. S., Newmarket, ON) on Friday, June 8th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity United Church, 461 Park Ave., Newmarket, ON, on Saturday, June 9th at 3 p.m., reception to follow.
