Ruth Macneill Obituary

MACNEILL, Ruth Elizabeth (nee Morrison) - Passed away peacefully in her 86th year on February 11, 2011 at home with her family by her side. Beloved wife to George for over 61 years and loving mother of Jane (Wayne), Stephanie (Paul), Gregory (Colleen) and Steven (Teresa). Grandmother to Jorden, Lindsay, Scott, Julia, Valinda, Josh, Madeline, Brooke, Whitney, Sarah and Liam. She leaves behind her sister Eileen (David) and her nieces Barbara and Deborah and nephew Brian; sister-.in-law Leonore O'Brien and nieces and nephews Michael, Robert, Jeannie, Philippa, Mary Ellen, Isabel, Sheila, Lenny, Cathy, Ginny, Elizabeth, Malcolm, Brian and Gregory. She will be sadly missed and lives on in our hearts and memories eternally. Family and friends will be received at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, located at 6150 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, on Monday, February 14, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure's Roman Catholic Church (1300 Leslie Street). Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In memory of Ruth, a charitable donation may be directed to the Hill House Hospice or the St. Bonaventure Building Fund. Condolences www.rskane.ca

I remember spending a few summers with Ruth & George growing up. She always made me feel like part of the family.Our families spent great times together at Silver Lake. Ruth will always be remembered by us as our aunt who was always glad to see us...that was special to us all.Memories will keep her in our hearts.
