SPRATT, (Marion) Ruth (nee Bowman) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother after a brief illness. Ruth passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in her 90th year. She will be deeply missed by John, her devoted and loving husband of 61 years. Cherished mother to Peter (Liz), Jane (Phil Gibbens) and John (Shari Lynn). Dear grandmother to Kaitlin (Jim Edwards), Sarah (Graeme Mitchell), Christopher, Taylor, Matthew and Lauren. Ruth will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephew and many close friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Rose Bowman of Whitby and by her sister-in-law Janet Kinsman and her husband Bill. Many thanks to the caring professionals at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation or a charity of your choice.
