Saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. She was a pioneer of children's television, not only in Canada but worldwide. A generous and passionate colleague, who championed and mentored an incredible number of creative talents. She will be missed.

Very sad news. Ruth was such a tremendous influence in (and on) my life and the lives of any kids who saw the shows TVO's children's department produced. She spearheaded a revolution in children's educational television that ended up being adopted worldwide. She was easily the best boss I ever had, a never-failing beacon of inspiration, positivity, and support. Her legacy is impossible to fathom, but millions of children around the world have been entertained and educated by the shows produced during her tenure at TVO. The world needs more like her.
