Oh Jojo....I am so sorry to hear about this terrible news. I can't believe it. I remember Sammy from Roden School and I loved her energy. I was so hoping to teach her to ride a horse! Now she can....as an angel in Heaven.

I am so deeply sorry for the hole this loss has left in the Weinstein family and to the wider creative community she impacted so greatly in her brief time on this planet. It was a privilege to have gotten to meet her over the years and deeply saddened by the shock as I genuinely thought she would regain a normal life after battling cancer. My heart goes out to her family and her husband (I too am a widower so I'm here if you need someone to talk to who's been down that road). May she rest in peace and may her memory remain your hearts forever.

I met Sam four years ago when I interviewed her band Killer Virgins on my podcast. Sam was very genuine and energetic, with a lot to say. She was one of the brightest lights the Toronto music community has ever seen, and I was so grateful for her friendship. I will miss her deeply. Sabrina, David and Jojo, my sincerest condolences.
