Sandra McCONNELL Obituary

McCONNELL, Sandra Virgina (nee WHALEN) November 29, 2018, sadly passed in her 81st year surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Alice and Stanley Whalen, beloved husband James Barry McConnell and sister Jay Whalen. Loving Mother of Scott Grant (Norma) and Christopher Grant (Jennie). Grandchildren Ashley, Nicole and great-grandchildren Braden, Emilie and Lily. Sandy will be missed by her family, friends and her buddy JJ. Sandy was a strong and successful women. She enjoyed a long career in real estate both as an agent who enjoyed working with her clients and then later as a manager until she retired in 2011. In her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering for the tenants association. In helping to organize social events to create community where she lived, she met many new friends. Private family interment with a memorial to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

Our deepest sympathies to both of Sandy's sons, Chris and Scott from a longtime friend at Prudential Kingsway at the Kingsway office. Sandy was always a warm hearted, friendly and hard working partner with her late husband Barry. Sandy will be missed by all who knew her.

I am very sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. I started my career with Sandy and Barry at Kingsway National and my childhood home was next door to Barry. She was a great business woman and leader. Sending my sincere condolences to Chris and Scott and all of your family.
