SARAH VALIUNAS Obituary

VALIUNAS, SARAH January 29, 1992 - August 27, 2018 We are heartbroken to have lost Sarah Jeanne Big Canoe Valiunas, on August 27, 2018 at the age of 26. Daughter of Karen and the late Ed (Auksuolis), sister of Rena, niece of Snaige and all of Karen's sisters and brother, partner of the late Josh Parsons, soul mate of Jess, cousin and beloved friend of many, many others. Free spirit, traveller, wit, fearless adventurer, excellent musician, loyal friend, she leaves so many of us in tears and yet happy to have had the privilege to have known her in her short life. Visitation will occur on Monday, September 3rd, from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto. A Memorial Service will take place at the same location on Tuesday, September 4th at 11 a.m., followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to RainCity Housing Vancouver. Karen and Rena, our deepest sympathy on the unexpected passing of Sarah. We will remember her as the little girl in her playpen at Wasaga Beach, her bright smile as she walked through the pathway to the beach and waved hello and we will think of her love of the water when we look out at the waves of Wasaga. Rest in peace Sarah!
