I'm so saddened to learn this, stunned. But how amazing to read what an accomplished professional, beloved mother, and "force for good" in the world she had become since I knew her (and was hopelessly infatuated) when she was still in university. My heart was broken then and it is again. I never reached out in all these years, though you were a spark to get me on the path of social justice. Sheila, I really did love you though I was far to immature to express it.

Sheila was a force of nature - for justice and for good - taken way too soon. We were lucky to know you.

I was very saddened to recently learn of Sheila's passing. I knew Sheila in the early to mid 1980's. I did not know here as a mother or lawyer, but I am sure she was exceptional at both. I have fond memories of Sheila as funny, smart, perhaps a little mischievous, and a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. My condolences to her children Jory and Luke on the passing of their mother.

Jory and Luke, please accept my condolences on the passing of your mother Sheila. I knew your mom from our Three Valleys, Milenford and Henry days. I was part of the group of kids your mom hung out with. I remember your mom as being smart, funny and passionate about social justice issues even back then. Back then overalls were in style and your mom loved them! Even when they went out of style your mom rocked them with a denim hat. We had a lot of laughs with your mom over the years. She had a serious side to her and was a good friend to many. Unfortunately she left Henry and our friends lost touch with her, but have talked about her and the fun times we had many times since. We are all sadden to learn of her passing.
