Ada and I were so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. Shirley was the last of my cousins on my dad's side of the family ; it makes feel sad. I looked at the pictures in the obit and some of them brought back memories of days at the cottage on the Trent with my mom and dad ; I always shared a bed with your uncle Lyle. I can still remember Shirley and Ernie's wedding day and the reception in Uncle Toms back yard were I had a rye and ginger ( I was 12 ) ; being the baby in the family I tended to be spoiled. Ada and I extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family and wish we could be with you as your mom and dad were always close to our family.

Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick & perfume she wore. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well. She's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day, the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of the rainbow. She is Christmas morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter & she is crystallized in every teardrop. A Mother shows every emotion..happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow...and all the while, hoping & praying that you will only know the good feelings in life. She is the place you came from, your first home and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy but nothing can separate you...NOT TIME...NOT SPACE...NOT EVEN DEATH...

May the Lord of all comfort, comfort you and all family members at the passing away of your mom. Mom will always be mom and will be missed. Yet thankful to the Lord for the number of years given by extending the years the Lord gave to enjoy her very presence. I am so sorry to read of the passing of your Mom. I have so many fond memories of her growing up on Blakemanor, and of all the family. Your Mom always had the door open for me at your home, with her lovely smile and kind words, and always so beautiful, with never a hair out of place. As I look through the photos, I am not surprised to see she remained beautiful all her life. Your Mom was a lady in every sense of the word, and I send my condolences to all of you.
