Shirley BRITT

BRITT, Shirley (nee Van Antwerp) - Passed away peacefully at her home in Toronto on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the age of 88. Much loved mother of Mark and his wife Sandy of Burlington, Ron Bradley, Marilyn Allen and step-mother of Dian Britt and Ian Britt all of British Columbia. Cherished Grannie and Great-Grannie of Victoria, Heather, Jason, Shauna, Edina, Kim, Kerry and their families. Dear sister of Pete Jefferson (Lawrence). Predeceased by her sister Theresa (Manville). Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, former co-workers, neighbours and friends. Shirley lived all over the world with her husband before settling in Toronto where she worked as a telephone operator at the Royal York Hotel. She also enjoyed her time as a volunteer at Toronto Rehabilitation Institutes and St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto. As per her wishes, Shirley will be cremated.
