SHIRLEY KERNOHAN Obituary
KERNOHAN, SHIRLEY ANN June 3, 1937 - May 4, 2023 Shirley, in her 85th year, passed away surrounded by what she valued most in life – peace, love and family, at Scarborough General Hospital, ON. She was wife to Robert Kernohan "Bob" (died January 19, 1992) and she will be greatly missed by her daughter, Deborah; her sister, Helen; her in-laws, Myrna and Eric; her many nieces and nephews both in Canada and in Northern Ireland; and her many, many lifelong friends. She loved her family, she loved her friends, she loved her garden, and she loved her desserts! Born in Wiarton, ON, she moved to the city of Toronto to start working, fell in love, built a life, and a family with the love of her life, Bob. Her sense of humour, thoughtfulness, and her smile will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E, Scarborough, on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The Service will be on Monday, May 8th, at Ogden Funeral Homes, at 1:00 p.m. Her interment will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton, ON. Deborah your mom was a amazing woman and friend to all. The times I got to see her she always had a smile on her face and talked about you and how great you were to her. She wasn´t wrong but as you say she was great also. Big hugs Tara.
