Shirley LARMAN Obituary

LARMAN, Shirley Ann (nee Eklove) - March 28, 1937 - December 21, 2012 "Bubby Shirl" has left a large gap in the family from which she and they have derived so much joy. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Elliott Larman, her son Irwin, her daughter Heidi Sue Larman-Brown, her son-in-law David Brown, her brothers Arthur Eklove and Ed Eklove and their families, Merle Soferman and Susan Soferman beloved sisters- in-law and their families; many friends, and most especially the delight of her later years grandsons Leo Issac and Jacob Jesse. She was creative and passionate in all of her endeavors from teaching grade 2 in her younger years to teaching crafts to seniors at Baycrest Home For the Aged and her Jewellry shop Adornments at College Park - she carried herself with flamboyance and flare. The funeral will be held at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Avenue West, Thornhill on Sunday, December 23rd at 2:30 p.m. followed by interment at Pardes Shalom Cemetery Adath Israel Section. Shiva is at 25 Neville Park Boulevard Sunday following interment and then Monday through Thursday 3:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Although I only knew Shirley for a few years, I considered her a good friend. I am so sad she has passed but I feel honoured to have been her friend and will really, really miss her. Edward Yudin

Shirley was one of the strongest women I ever knew...throughout her many health issues she was still able to maintain her witty sense of humour...she sparkled when telling her delightful stories about Leo and Jacob who were the love of her life..she was one great gal who will be sadly missed...
