Shirley Temple Obituary

Shirley TEMPLE

(nee MA)

Deceased February 28, 2016.

To our mom, tap dancing was a way of life. She knew it was the secret to staying happy and fit. She brought the joy of tap to many students throughout her teaching career at Mooredale House and The Granite Club.

While attending Northern SS, Shirley learned how to twirl a baton and eventually became Western University's first Chinese majorette.

Upon graduating, she performed in the touring company of "The Flower Drum Song" and developed her own nightclub and Hawaiian dance act.

Shirley was the life of the party and loved to sing, dance, cook, have a cocktail or two and take family vacations to tropical locations. She was returning from a family trip when she passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by loved ones.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, W. Michael Temple and survived by her children, David, John, Michael Jr. and Kimberley; her daughters-in-law, Tiziana and Sheree and her nine grandchildren, Giordano, Dante, Samantha, Nicolette, Luca, Wilder, Brendan, Augustina and Cleopatra.

Visitation on Saturday, March 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road (East Gate Entrance).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
