SOULES, SONIA At Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, September 24, 2021, Mrs. Sonia Patricia (Turecky) Soules of Wingham at the age of 78 years after a long illness. Beloved wife of John Soules, and loving mother of Chris Soules of Toronto, Robin Soules of London, and Mark Soules of Toronto. Sonia also leaves behind her cherished sister Stephanie Wojnarowskyj of Bramalea, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents (Peter and Stephania) and siblings (Russ, Jenny, Elizabeth and Robert). Sonny (as she was known by friends and family) loved children, literature, gardening and cooking (especially for other people). After raising her three sons she attended Lakehead University and received a degree in Library Technology. She supported many local and international charities and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A family funeral service will be held with interment in Wingham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to local food banks, Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated, and may be made through the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham.
