MARA, STANLEY NEIL Passed away suddenly, at Lakeridge Health Hospital, in Oshawa, on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at the age of 64 years. Predeceased by his loving wife, Carol Ann Alvarez in 2018. Beloved son to the late Yolande and the late Bruce Mara of Markham. Dear brother to Robin Mara-Egsgard, brother-in-law and friend to her husband, John of Uxbridge and caring uncle to his niece, Chelsea Egsgard and partner, Braden Bonner of Aurora. Brother to Kerri Mara and the late Keith Meadows of Courtice. Stan was very proud of his lifelong friendships with best friends, Scott Boyington and his wife, Cathy, Ken Smith and wife, Jodie and Jim Waker and wife, Lynn. Born in Scarborough and raised mostly in Markham, Stan worked for many years in the plastic injection moulding industry. Stan (The Jabber) loved to play pool with friends especially when betting and more so when he was winning. Stan's passions were antique cars and playing the lottery. By far the thing he enjoyed most were trips to the former family cottage in Kinmount and swimming in his cherished Davis Lake. In keeping with Stan's wishes, cremation has taken place.
