STEVE FERGUSON (CONRAD-FERGUSON FAMILY) At 62, at home on May 19, 2014 after a year-long battle with kidney cancer, Steve died peacefully, surrounded in the love of Laurelea, his wife of 33 years, beloved daughter Chelsea and dearest sister Paula. Steve was predeceased by his mother Elsie Ellis and brother Garry Ferguson. He will be greatly missed by his brothers Brian and Bill and closest friends Terry, Dennis, John, Frank, Patrick and Pete, among many others whose lives he enriched with his amazing sense of humour, generous spirit and huge heart. Steve was proud ofhis working class roots. He was active in the Canada Post union before moving to Revenue Canada and then on to his own financial and tax business for the past 13 years. Steve was one of the truly good guys. He loved life, dividing his passion among tennis, music, current affairs and - most of all - his family and friends. Our pup Vinnie knew it was Steve's time to go and lay down beside him while Victoria Day fireworks exploded in the evening sky and the reggae tune I See the Light played in the background. Visitation will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL CENTRE, 50 Overlea Blvd., 416-423-1000, on May 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 27th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please support Kidney Cancer Canada or the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care.
