Steven REVELL Obituary

REVELL, Steven Gerald - July 24, 1947 - August 26, 2013 Steve was blessed with a large assemblage of kind caring people throughout his life. These included his best friend and loving wife Donna (nee Fountain) and their two decidedly different and wonderful children, Brian and Peggy. He will be missed by the rest of the small Revell clan: brother Paul and his wife Lana and their children Jenna and Kyle; his uncle Hugh and his wife Norma, his cousins Mark and Karen and their families. The Fountain family of thirteen brothers and sisters and their extended families numbering over one hundred was always a source of support, kindness and companionship for more than 43 years. The Fountains always made Steve feel welcome. Steve enjoyed many friendships from his 32 year teaching career at both Alloa and Caledon Central Public Schools, including his students, their parents, and his teaching colleagues. Also numbered in his many friends were teammates, sports enthusiasts, history buffs, environmentalists, trail builders and hikers, EWCS volunteers, music lovers, old car aficionados, rail fans, and model railroaders. Steve enjoyed life to the fullest. He always believed a loving family and friends made that life so rewarding. Honouring Steve's wishes, there will be no funeral. Donations in Steve's memory may be made to the Elora Cataract Trailway, The Wellington County Historical Society, the Upper Credit Humane Society, Hospice Wellington, your local library, or simply plant a tree. Arrangements entrusted to Butcher Family Funeral Home, Erin, Ontario.

I have worked with Steve over the past several years on creating student art projects in memory of Arthur Brecken. Steve was a kind and caring person who regularly attended student art shows and supported his community. He will be greatly missed.

To The Revell Family
My daughter was a student of Steve's in the 90's. I was a school volunteer at Caledon Central so I had the opportunity to know Steve. ( Always called him Mr. Revell) He always had a smile and a very pleasant disposition. My daughter has fond memories of Mr. Revell... Our sincere condolences to his family

I was a student at Caledon Central PS and was fortunate to have known Mr. Revell as a teacher back in the early 90's. He was a one of those teachers that inspired us all and one that you remember long after you graduate. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I met Steve and his wife while working at EWCS. Steve's warmth and generous spirit was evident from the first hello. Over the next while I learned of his passion for the community as a whole through his volunteer work with our trails and historical organizations as well as a deep concern for the well being of people living in this community. He contributed so much, he enriched this community with never a thought to thanks of any kind. Erin has lost much in his passing. He was a real example of quiet service and will be remembered and great missed.
My deepest condolances to his family and friends.
